Domestic Refrigerator

To facilitate fast defrosting of finned evaporators in no frost domestic refrigerators, Zoppas Industries suggests tubular aluminium heating element (TN), diameter 4,5 - 5 - 6,35 mm, through contact function. Part of this electric heating element may also defrost the drain. Elements are made up of an insulated cable in silicone rubber, resistant to temperatures between 150 and 180°, with specific power of 45/50 watt/meter - differentiable along the length of the heater - inserted into an aluminium tube which is formed to the required shape. An additional protection in fibre glass between resistive wire and insulating sheath is required for power higher than 35 W/m. The tube ends are blocked-sealed with plastic material injection. For direct cooling refrigerators (or traditional) the technology is the same, but power is lower (generally 25 W/meter). The heating elements are usually attached to Roll Bond evaporators.

Electric tubular elements insulated with MgO (magnesium oxide) and protected externally with a stainless steel or special alloy sheath, according to the application for which they are designed, represent the best solution for refrigeration system. Heating elements are tested to current European standards EN 60335-1 (CENELEC), CEI 61-50, VDE 0700.

Zoppas Industries also produces heating elements on aluminium foils, with low power, high flexibility and adaptability to various applications, with adhesive support and electric characteristics according to IEC 335-1 standard. The heating elements, having functions of defrosting, anti-condensation, anti-icer and compensation, are available welded on single or double aluminium foil, with single or double PVC and/or silicon insulation, with or without adhesive and a wide range of terminal connector.

Zoppas Industries heating cables represent the best solution to avoid condensate in refrigeration systems for their flexibility and the possibility of differentiated power outputs, allowing to diversify and dosing the energy according to the particular necessity of each application. Therefore they have functions of anti-condensation and anti-icer (for example in outlet pipes or water collection trays). The heating cables are insulated according to working temperatures: with PVC 105°C for maximum working temperatures of 65°C, or silicon rubber for temperatures, measured on outer sheath, of 120°C.In order to prevent damage to insulation, it may be necessary to protect the wire with metal braid or sheath.
