Band Heaters

Band heaters are manufactured according several technical specifications in order to give the best solution to each applications, they are divided into: nozzle band heaters, mica band heater, ceramic band heaters.

Nozzle band heaters: small dimensions or with braze welded cap, several cable exits available. They are used mainly to heat nozzles of injection moulding machines.

Mica band heaters: round or flat, mica heaters are used to heat cylinders of injection machines and extruders, they can also be used in woodworking, medical and scientific machineries, packaging machines, industrial ironing.

Ceramic band heaters: mainly used to heat injection machines, extruders and blow moulding machines. Ceramic band heaters can be supplied with second or third insulation layer for energy saving and safety protections.

Heating cooling systems: Rica is leader in the extruders field, manufacturing several types of heating and cooling systems equipped with mica or ceramic band heaters, with or without aluminium fins, with or without insulation, inside a stainless steel cover round or octagonal with a hole for blower's air to cool down the cylinder.

Besides, Rica is able to project using 3D engineering software: this allows Rica to develop feasibility studies and to offer new solutions working together with the Customer. There are several important advantages related to Plastics applications, in particular, in designing customised heatingcooling systems and band heaters, complete extrusion lay-outs.
